Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Linux Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.).
- Monitor server performance and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Manage user access, permissions, and security settings.
- Perform regular patch management and updates to Linux systems.
- Develop and test disaster recovery plans for critical systems.
Monitoring & Performance Tuning:
- Utilize monitoring tools to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Optimize system configurations for maximum efficiency and reliability.
Security:
- Apply security patches and adhere to compliance policies.
- Configure firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures as necessary.

Skills & Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
Experience in virtualization technologies, including storage integration and networking concepts.
Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible, or shell scripting.
Knowledge of monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, or similar) and log management solutions.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Linux certifications (e.g., RHCE, RHCSA).
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Experience Required:

5 years of experience in Linux systems administration.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
