Java Software Engineer (AWT & Swing)

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based applications using Core Java, JSP, and Servlets.

• Build and maintain desktop-based GUIs using AWT and Swing frameworks.

• Implement reusable, testable, and efficient code following coding standards and best practices.

• Participate in software design discussions, requirement analysis, and architecture reviews.

• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA and Product Management.

• Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and debugging.

• Maintain detailed technical documentation for all developed modules.

MUST HAVE SKILLS

• Strong proficiency in Core Java.

• Hands-on experience with JSP and Servlets.

• Expertise in AWT and Swing for desktop application development.

• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and Design Patterns.

• Experience with multi-threading, collections framework, and exception handling.

• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript for JSP-based front-end integration.

• Experience with version control tools(Git/SVN).

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS

• Exposure to Spring / Hibernate frameworks.

• Experience working in JDBC.

• Experience with RESTful Web Services or SOAP.

• Knowledge of application servers (Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic).

• Familiarity with SQL /relational databases(Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).

• Experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle.

• Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
