Java Software Engineer (AWT & Swing)

As a Senior/Lead Developer in the Delivery function, your role will involve designing, developing, testing, and deploying Java-based applications using Core Java, JSP, and Servlets. You will be responsible for building and maintaining desktop-based GUIs utilizing AWT and Swing frameworks. It is essential to implement reusable, testable, and efficient code following coding standards and best practices. Additionally, you will participate in software design discussions, requirement analysis, and architecture reviews to ensure optimal application performance and troubleshoot production issues. Collaboration with cross-functional teams including QA and Product Management is crucial, along with ensuring code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and debugging. Detailed technical documentation for all developed modules must be maintained. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based applications using Core Java, JSP, and Servlets. - Build and maintain desktop-based GUIs using AWT and Swing frameworks. - Implement reusable, testable, and efficient code following coding standards and best practices. - Participate in software design discussions, requirement analysis, and architecture reviews. - Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA and Product Management. - Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and debugging. - Maintain detailed technical documentation for all developed modules. **Qualification Required:** - Strong proficiency in Core Java. - Hands-on experience with JSP and Servlets. - Expertise in AWT and Swing for desktop application development. - Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and Design Patterns. - Experience with multi-threading, collections framework, and exception handling. - Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript for JSP-based front-end integration. - Experience with version control tools (Git/SVN). If you have exposure to Spring/Hibernate frameworks, experience working in JDBC, knowledge of RESTful Web Services or SOAP, familiarity with application servers (Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic), understanding of SQL/relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL), experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle, and a basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, it would be considered as nice-to-have skills.,
