Role : ITI Fitter – Machine Assembly – Machine Manufacturing Industry

Department: Production / Mechanical Assembly

LOCATION : Vadodara, Gujarat

REPORTING TO : Production Manager/Service Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented ITI Fitter to join our production team. The candidate will be responsible for the assembly of machines, including mechanical fitting, drilling, tapping, cutting, grinding, and alignment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in reading mechanical drawings and assembling parts accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble machines and subassemblies as per mechanical engineering drawings.
• Perform drilling, tapping, cutting, and grinding operations using appropriate tools and machines.
• Accurately mark out components using hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Fit and assemble structural frameworks and housings from materials like angle iron, sheet metal, etc.
• Operate machines such as drill presses, grinders, and power tools.
• Ensure alignment and tolerance standards are met during assembly.
• Conduct quality checks and functional tests on assembled units.
• Assist in installation and trial runs of machines, if required.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the working area.
• Follow work instructions and company SOPs strictly.
• Report defects, deviations, or delays to the supervisor..

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• ITI Certificate in Fitter Trade from a recognized institute.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in machine assembly or mechanical fitting.
• Good understanding of mechanical drawings and measurement instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, dial gauge, etc.).
• Skilled in handling drilling, tapping, cutting, and grinding tools.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physically fit to handle machine components and tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma/ITI in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Software Skills: Knowledge of PLC programming and basic automation software is a plus.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
