• 3+ years of experience in application development experience.
• Expert-level programming skills in Python, Shell scripting and Java.
• Solid understanding of REST-based APIs design and implementation.
• Design and develop API code using Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong proficiency in AWS cloud services, including EC2, Batch, CloudFormation, Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, RDS and Docker.
• In-depth knowledge of CI/CD practices and deployment automation pipelines.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Extensive experience with RDBMS systems, particularly Postgres and Oracle.
• Understanding of API integration and third-party libraries.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies like Agile or Scrum.
• Understanding of UI/UX design principles and best practices.
  

Job Duties In Brief

• Gather and analyze client or user needs to define application features and functionalities.
• Translate requirements into software designs, create prototypes, and write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in various programming languages.
• Perform unit and integration testing to ensure the application works as intended and identify and fix bugs or performance issues.
• Manage the rollout of applications and perform upgrades and maintenance as required.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers, software engineers, project managers, and quality assurance testers, to deliver successful applications.
• Create technical handbooks and documentation to represent application design and code.

Position reports to the Development Lead under the Hedge Fund Accounting IT (HFAIT) department.HFAIT department manages the core accounting platform(Æxeo®) and datawarehouse within Citco.
