Job description:

The IT Support Engineer role at Hartek Group requires a skilled professional with expertise in troubleshooting, networking, and IT infrastructure management. The ideal candidate should possess strong problem-solving abilities and be proficient in resolving technical issues efficiently. Preferably, the candidate should be a local resident, familiar with the regional context and dynamics, enabling effective support and collaboration within the organization's operational environment.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables:

1. End-User Support:

  • Provide first and second-level support to employees for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Troubleshoot incidents reported via ticketing system, email, or calls, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Assist users with system access, email, VPN, and cloud applications (Office 365, Teams, SharePoint).

2. System & Device Management:

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on workstations and servers.
  • Assist in patch management, software updates, and license management.

3. Network & Security Support:

  • Support basic network troubleshooting (LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity, switches, routers).
  • Monitor and escalate security incidents, ensuring compliance with IT policies.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in Active Directory / Azure AD.

4. Project & Implementation Assistance:

  • Support IT projects such as Office 365 deployments, policy rollouts, and system upgrades.
  • Coordinate with senior engineers for implementation tasks and documentation.

5. Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain records of IT assets, configurations, and resolved incidents.
  • Prepare reports on support tickets, recurring issues, and system health.

6. Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and basic networking.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows OS, Office 365, Azure AD, and cloud applications.
  • Good communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and follow IT processes and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Certifications like CCNA or MCSE preferred.
  • Azure certification is a plus.
  • Training in relevant technologies is mandatory for onboarding.
