Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated IT Security Specialist (L1) to support our Cybersecurity as a Serviceoffering. This entry-level role focuses on foundational cybersecurity practices, user and devicemanagement, and basic infrastructure security. The ideal candidate will assist in monitoring securityoperations, supporting cloud identity platforms like Google Admin and Azure AD, and ensuring strongsecurity controls across client environments.

Key Responsibilities

Cybersecurity Operations
  • Assist in monitoring security alerts and responding to basic security incidents
  • Perform routine vulnerability scans and help with basic security assessments
  • Support incident response activities under guidance
  • Help maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation
User & Identity Management
  • Manage user accounts and access through Google Admin and Azure Active Directory
  • Support Single Sign-On (SSO) configurations and user provisioning/de-provisioning
  • Manage group and role-based access controls in cloud environments
Cloud & Infrastructure Security
  • Support implementation of basic cloud security controls (firewall rules, access permissions)
  • Help monitor cloud environments for security issues
  • Assist in basic configuration of network security settings (VPN, firewall, IP address management)
Compliance & Documentation
  • Assist in gathering data for security audits and compliance reports
  • Maintain accurate documentation of security configurations and processes
  • Support preparation of security awareness materials for users
Technical Support
  • Provide first-line support for security-related user issues (e.g., login problems, access requests)
  • Help troubleshoot basic security incidents and escalate when needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–3 years of experience in IT support, security operations, or cloud administration
  • Basic knowledge of Google Workspace (Google Admin Console)
  • Familiarity with cloud identity platforms (Google Admin, Azure AD)
  • Understanding of fundamental cybersecurity concepts (Zero Trust, SSO, encryption, threat
monitoring)
  • Basic knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and VPNs
  • Familiarity with security monitoring and logging (SIEM tools is a plus)
  • Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Shell script or Python is a plus)
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Proactive mindset with attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures
