Job Description

As an IT Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding company data and systems from potential threats. You should possess a degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, along with 6 months to 2 years of experience in using security tools such as firewalls and antivirus software. Your understanding of data protection laws and security standards will be essential in ensuring compliance within the organization. Your responsibilities will include setting up and managing security tools, monitoring systems for unusual activity, and responding to threats promptly. You will be required to test systems to identify and rectify security issues, as well as work collaboratively with other teams to guarantee the overall security of systems. Additionally, you will need to stay updated on the latest security risks and trends, and impart knowledge to employees on how to stay safe online. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud will be advantageous in this role. You will also be responsible for writing rules and guidelines to protect company data, managing compliance with security policies and regulations, and setting up new laptops while troubleshooting common setup problems. Furthermore, maintaining the company's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, Wi-Fi, VPN, etc., will be part of your daily tasks.
