Quest Alliance is seeking an IT support engineer. The IT engineer plays a key role in ensuring the organization s technology systems are secure, efficient, and aligned with its mission-driven operations. This role involves maintaining and improving the IT infrastructure, providing user support, managing cloud platforms, and implementing technology solutions that enhance program delivery and internal collaboration. The position also includes responsibility for network security, data integrity, and supporting digital transformation initiatives across the organization.
Employee Support on Laptop/Desktop Issues :
Provide timely resolution of hardware and software issues for employees.
Ensure employees have uninterrupted access to tools needed for learning and productivity.
Network Security and Updates :
Implement regular security updates to ensure safe usage of digital learning platforms.
Protect data integrity and privacy in learning modules.
Maintenance of Office Hardware (Server, UPS, Desktop, Printer, Projectors, TV, Internet) :
Maintain all office hardware to ensure operational efficiency.
Ensure technology-dependent presentations and sessions run without interruptions.
Meeting Room Setup for QLO (Quest Learning Organisation) :
Ensure meeting rooms are set up with necessary technical equipment.
Guarantee smooth facilitation of learning sessions.
Point of Contact (POC) for Future Skills Interactive Display (QLO and External Locations) :
Serve as the key contact for interactive displays that focus on advanced skills development.
IT Asset Management & Procurement :
Maintain up-to-date IT assets and ensure timely procurement processes.
Support content delivery reliant on the latest technology.
Lab Setup in Government Schools, ITIs, and VTIs in the South Region :
Set up and maintain IT labs to enhance the learning experience in educational institutions.
Support effective delivery of digital content in these institutions.
IT Assets Monitoring and Maintenance:
Regularly monitor and maintain IT assets to ensure they are up-to-date and available when needed.
Prevent delays in sessions by ensuring systems are fully operational and accessible.
Support in Server Setup and Maintenance:
Ensure servers are equipped with up-to-date tools and services.
Guarantee system readiness for sessions, minimizing the risk of unexpected downtime.
Hardware Follow-Ups and Vendor Coordination:
Perform timely follow-ups with staff and vendors to resolve hardware issues swiftly.
Ensure a smooth flow of learning sessions by minimizing technical disruptions.
Remote Support for Lab Setups:
Provide prompt remote support to government schools and institutions.
Quickly resolve technical issues arising during learning activities.
Regular Checks for Meeting Room Equipment:
Conduct bi-weekly checks of meeting room equipment (adapters, cables, TV) to ensure functionality and updates.
Ensure technical readiness for learning sessions in meeting rooms to avoid interruptions.
Security and Backup Management:
Manage access and recovery systems to prevent data loss and ensure smooth recovery in case of technical failures.
Safeguard the timely delivery of content by avoiding delays due to security or backup issues.
Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
Proficiency in IT infrastructure management (Windows, macOS, and Linux environments).
Experience with cloud and SaaS administration (e.g., Google Workspace, Azure, AWS, or Zoho).
Strong understanding of network setup, security, and troubleshooting (VPN, firewalls, Wi-Fi).
Knowledge of backup systems, asset management, and endpoint security.
Familiarity with automation or scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.
Soft Skills
Empathy and patience in supporting diverse, non-technical users.
Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
Adaptability to evolving technology landscapes and budget-conscious settings.
Preferred Background
Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
2-5 years of IT support experience
Exposure to data privacy and ethical technology practices in non-profits.
