Description
You will be responsible for the following key tasks: - Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners. - Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades. - Responding to breakdowns immediately. - Investigating, diagnosing, and solving computer software and hardware faults. - Repairing equipment and replacing parts. - Obtaining replacement or specialist components, fixtures, or fittings. - Checking computer equipment for electrical safety. - Maintaining records of software licenses. - Managing stocks of equipment, consumables, and other supplies. - Ensuring that day-to-day administrative activities are undertaken to maintain databases in a fully operational and stable state. - Undertaking system monitoring and tuning to ensure optimum performance. - Applying software upgrades and patches to the corporate systems and to server operating systems and databases. - Reviewing and maintaining efficient and effective database backup procedures to enable the provision of successful and accurate backups so that any data can be restored quickly and efficiently. - Maintaining adequate security of data by implementing, monitoring, and auditing appropriate security policies. - Undertaking upgrade and conversion projects as required. - Managing problems escalated to third-party suppliers/providers. - Producing reports in line with performance indicators. - Preparing and maintaining relevant systems documentation, including the creation of policies and procedures. - Resolving/Escalation of SAP issues within SLA & documentation of issues to be maintained.
