Job Description

IPQC Core

  • Monitor and verify

    parts, sub-assemblies, and in-process assemblies

    on the line against design specifications and drawings.
  • Conduct

    first-piece approval (FPA)

    and

    line clearance checks

    before production runs.
  • Ensure

    control plan adherence

    for all critical-to-quality (CTQ) and critical-to-safety (CTS) parameters.
  • Validate operator compliance to

    Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

    and

    work instructions

    .

Process Quality Management

  • Implement and monitor

    SPC (Statistical Process Control)

    techniques such as control charts, Cp/Cpk studies, and process capability analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to

    PFMEA-driven controls

    and escalate deviations immediately.
  • Support

    new line / process validations

    and sign-offs.
  • Conduct

    layered process audits (LPA)

    and ensure closure of findings.

Training & Team Development

  • Train and mentor

    line inspectors and operators

    on defect identification, SOP adherence, and use of quality tools.
  • Drive awareness on

    defect prevention

    rather than detection.

Problem Solving & CAPA

  • Investigate in-process quality issues, conduct

    root cause analysis (5-Why, Fishbone, Pareto)

    , and define corrective/preventive actions.
  • Support

    Failure Analysis (FA)

    process for defective parts and assemblies.
  • Provide structured

    feedback to vendors

    on recurring issues.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain inspection records, control charts, and non-conformance reports as per

    ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 documentation requirements

    .
  • Support

    BIS certification requirements

    by ensuring compliance with prescribed test protocols and documentation.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality performance reports (defects, DPMO, rework, scrap).

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • B.E. in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering

  • Must have worked at water purifier assembly lines before
  • 1-3 years of hands-on IPQC experience in

    water purifier industry

  • Good to have : knowledge of

    SPC tools, MSA, CAPA, and FA techniques

    .
  • Familiar with

    BIS requirements for water purifiers

  • Proficiency in

    root cause analysis tools (5-Why, Ishikawa, Pareto, PDCA)

  • Strong documentation and reporting skills
  • Great communication skills

Preferred:

  • Exposure to

    lean manufacturing, Six Sigma basics, and Kaizen projects

    .
  • Experience in interfacing with vendors for part quality issues.
  • Knowledge of

    reliability testing

    and

    life cycle validation

    .
