Apollo seeks a Quantitative Developer for its India Mumbai office within its Quantitative Development team. The Quantitative Development team maintains proprietary mortgage investment risk models used for financial reporting, risk measurement, pricing and strategic business decisions. The candidate will report jointly to the Woodland Hills Consumer & Residential Quantitative Analytics team as well as the Indian Quantitative Analytics Team in support of the mortgage effort. Candidate will support trading and portfolio management team in daily tasks associated with mortgage trading and are expected to provide support until Noon NY time. Strong performers will have the opportunity to advance into larger responsibilities on the quantitative analytics team. BUSINESS UNIT OVERVIEW The GBM Public Compliance Programmatic Review Execution Team ( PRET ) is part of the GBM Public Compliance team which provides compliance coverage and support to the Equities and FICC (Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities) Sales and Trading businesses. Programmatic Review Program is comprised of individual reviews that are designed to assess the firm and the business personnel s adherence to the policies and procedures by deploying various testing techniques and as a whole represents one of the key pillars to the GBM Public Compliance s oversight over the businesses.PRET helps execute Programmatic Review Program which is designed to monitor the compliance and regulatory risks across the GBM Public businesses, and works to develop and/or enhance appropriate risk control measures to mitigate such risks. Post development, PRET performs the reviews and maintains oversight of such controls to ensure the continuing integrity, relevance and proper performance of those controls. Based on varying frequency of the reviews, team members are responsible for executing those Programmatic Reviews and interacting with Line Compliance and the business to conclude on results of the reviews. PRET works closely with the Business, Line Compliance and Technology across locations as well as other groups within the Firm. PRET is strategically located in Bengaluru to allow close connectivity with key stakeholders in all time zone. This role is highly analytical and detail-oriented, with emphasis on ability to manage and evaluate investment exposures across portfolios, asset classes and investment strategies at scale. Core Responsibilities: Managing multi-asset class portfolios in line with client guidelines, internal investment policies, and regulatory constraints. Exercising leadership qualities and judgment, with expectation of being able to perform key portfolio management responsibilities within a few months after joining. Structuring trades to facilitate portfolio activity across asset classes and product types (equities, fixed income, currencies, alternatives) and instruments (futures, forwards, ETFs, options, swaps, funds). Working closely with the Central Trading Desk and external parties overseeing trade execution. Working closely with other MAS teams to execute strategic and tactical investment ideas with consistency and scale, including determining optimal instruments to trade based on portfolio-specific, regulatory and market- related considerations. Serving as investment-side oversight lead for complex portfolio events, including launch and onboarding of new model portfolios, client mandates and portfolio restructurings, requiring coordination across multiple internal stakeholder teams throughout the firm, as well as external model business partners. Enhancing business scale by leading and overseeing projects aimed at improving trading and risk management processes, infrastructure and analytics to further accelerate the team s ability to meet growth objectives, execute portfolio management activities and mitigate trading risks. Reviewing new portfolio design and investment strategies for client portfolio suitability, with specific focus on our ability to effectively manage and implement such portfolios and strategies.
