Investment Associate - Chennai

We’re looking for an experienced Investment Research Associate to be part of a mission-driven team enabling climate-positive startups and shaping how capital flows into the climate tech space in India.

What You’ll Do:

- Lead deep-dive sectoral research and shape investment theses in:

- Energy Transition

- Circular Economy

- Sustainable Mobility

- Agri/Food/Waste

- Affordable & Green Housing

- Create clear, data-backed deliverables: reports, pitch decks, policy notes, and infographics.

- Serve as the primary on-ground liaison at TNIFMC, coordinating with teams and aligning research to project goals.

- Present insights and investment opportunities to internal and external stakeholders.

- Stay ahead of trends in climate tech, early-stage investing, and policy shifts.

Who We’re Looking For:

- 4+ years of experience in investment research, impact consulting, finance, or a related field.

- A Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Sustainability, or a related discipline, or CA / CFA (USA)

- Strong research, writing, and presentation skills.

- Prior exposure to startups, investor ecosystems, or climate-focused funds is a major plus.

- Proficiency in Tamil is preferred

- VC/PE/Incubator background preferred

Bonus: Working knowledge of tools like Excel and PowerPoint
