Internal Auditor

As a Chartered Accountant with 5 years of experience in internal audits and controls, you will be responsible for the following key responsibilities: - Audit & Verification: - Audit employee reimbursement claims to ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. - Conduct regular audits of bank reconciliations, highlighting any discrepancies. - Perform periodic checks on financial transactions to detect errors, fraud, or policy violations. - Compliance & Risk Management: - Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation laws, and regulatory frameworks. - Monitor internal policies and procedures, recommending improvements as needed. - Identify compliance gaps and propose corrective measures to mitigate risks. - Internal Controls: - Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls in financial operations. - Recommend, design, and implement stronger controls to protect company assets. - Develop audit checklists, SOPs, and reporting formats to enhance the control environment. - Reporting & Coordination: - Prepare internal audit reports containing findings, observations, and recommendations for management. - Follow up with relevant departments to ensure prompt implementation of audit recommendations. - Support external audits by providing necessary data and clarifications. In addition to the above responsibilities, you will be expected to have: - Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial processes, and internal audit methodologies. - Understanding of compliance, taxation laws, and risk management practices. - Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Excellent communication and reporting skills.
