Job Description

The Internal Auditor position in the GIEEE Finance & Administration, Internal Audit Department involves executing an annual risk-based audit plan, encompassing operational, financial, and compliance audits of Conferences, Geographic Units, and other GIEEE activities and functions. Reporting to the GIEEE Manager of Accounting, with oversight from the Sr. Director, Internal Audit, the role operates without direct reports and follows general guidelines. Key Responsibilities: - Participate in planning and conducting integrated audits, evaluating controls" adequacy and effectiveness within set timeframes and budget. - Ensure adherence to team/departmental standards, thoroughly documenting test work. - Draft high-quality audit issues for inclusion in executive management reports, with clear quantification and support. - Communicate audit issues and associated risks verbally to management effectively and respectfully. - Foster strong partnerships with business and technology partners across the organization. - Continually enhance knowledge of audit and technology-related risks and controls through training. - Contribute to special projects and administrative tasks as necessary. Qualifications: Education: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Finance or Accounting. Work Experience: - 2-4 years of auditing experience in Public Accounting. Licenses and Certifications: - CA, CPA, or CIA certification is a plus. Skills and Requirements: - Proficiency in technology. - Strong interpersonal skills, including communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. - Fluency in English. - Proficiency in Google Apps, Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel), with knowledge of Netsuite, Oracle, and GRC being advantageous. Other Requirements: - Current service on an IEEE board or committee precludes eligibility. - Position does not include employer-sponsored immigration support for individuals in specified statuses. - Classified under Category I - Office Positions in terms of work demands and conditions.
