Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Production Engineering Intern to join our manufacturing team. The intern will be responsible for supporting process setup, driving low-cost automation initiatives, and contributing to continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing quality and process robustness in production.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in setting up and optimizing manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
Work on Low-Cost Automation (LCA) projects to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and minimize errors.
Participate in process improvement and quality enhancement initiatives using tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Poka-Yoke.
Conduct time studies, process mapping, and line balancing to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
Support implementation of process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and checklists.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, R&D, Maintenance) to ensure smooth process transitions.
Assist in developing and executing trials for new tools, jigs, fixtures, and test setups.
Monitor process parameters and contribute to increasing process reliability and robustness.
