Interiors NPD CAD Engineers

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop

  Interior Trim components

  (e.g., IP & Console, Air Vents, Ducts, Pillar Trims, Door Trims) from concept to final release.
• Create and modify CAD models using

  CATIA V5

  (Part, Surface, and Drawing modules).
• Conduct

  draft and tooling analysis

  , ensuring manufacturability and feasibility.
• Perform

  surface analysis

  , prepare markups, and coordinate effectively with onsite teams.
• Participate in

  design reviews

  , propose innovative and cost-effective solutions.
• Support

  benchmarking

  and

  cost reduction initiatives

  .
• Ensure design compliance with

  engineering and geometric requirements (GD&T)

  .
• Work with cross-functional teams to resolve design issues and track changes till release.
• Demonstrate sound understanding of

  Teamcenter

  and

  Vis Mockup

  .
• Manage multiple design tasks effectively while maintaining high quality standards.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in

  CATIA V5

  (Part/Surface/Drafting).
• Expertise in

  Plastic NPD

  ,

  Parametric Design

  , and

  Tooling Analysis

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  manufacturing and assembly processes

  for interiors.
• Hands-on experience in

  packaging studies

  and

  master section creation

  .
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with

  8D / Six Sigma

  problem-solving methodologies.
• Working knowledge of

  MS Office tools

  .
• Exposure to

  Teamcenter

  PLM environment.

Preferred Candidate

• Professionals with prior experience in

  automotive interior trims design

  .
• Candidates with strong analytical mindset and ability to work under tight schedules.
