Our products focus on lending and brokerage services tailored to the unique needs of the Saudi financial ecosystem.As we scale, we are looking for a Python Backend Developer who is passionate about building secure, scalable, and high-performance financial systems, and excited to work in a fast-paced, remote-first startup environment.

Role Overview

As a Backend Developer, you will collaborate with the Tech Lead and Frontend Engineer to design, develop, and optimize backend services and APIs that power our lending workflows, financial integrations, and AI-driven pipelines.This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge GenAI and OCR integrations, ensuring our systems are secure, compliant, and built for scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs to support lending workflows and third-party integrations.
• Implement data ingestion and transformation pipelines leveraging GenAI and OCR technologies.
• Collaborate with the Tech Lead to ensure architectural consistency, scalability, and robustness.
• Integrate with third-party APIs relevant to the Saudi financial ecosystem.
• Ensure backend systems meet Sharia compliance, security, and performance benchmarks.
• Participate in Agile sprints and daily syncs using JIRA.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend services for efficiency and scalability.
  

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 4-8 years of experience in backend development with Python.
• Mandatory experience with the Saudi market or Sharia-compliant systems.
• Strong knowledge of API design, microservices architecture, and cloud-native development.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, etc.).
• Exposure to FinTech platforms, lending workflows, or financial APIs.
• Familiarity with GenAI/OCR integration for data processing is highly desirable.
• Comfortable working in a remote-first, high-growth startup environment.
