Insurance Underwriter

As an Underwriter (Non-EB) at our company, you will play a crucial role in assessing risks, analyzing data, and determining appropriate insurance coverage and premiums. Your responsibilities will include collecting background information, conducting risk assessments, analyzing statistical data, preparing insurance quotes, negotiating terms with brokers and clients, determining insurance premiums, drafting policy wording, and collaborating with insurance brokers and customers for smooth policy issuance and management. To excel in this role, you should possess strong mathematical, statistical, and IT skills. Your analytical and problem-solving skills will be put to the test as you evaluate risks and make sound judgments in risk assessment. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential qualities for this position, along with proficiency in mathematics and statistics. Additionally, you will need to demonstrate excellent communication and negotiation abilities to interact effectively with brokers and clients. Key Responsibilities: - Collect background information and conduct risk assessments. - Analyze statistical data using specialized software. - Prepare and write insurance quotes, negotiating terms with brokers and clients. - Determine insurance premiums based on risk analysis. - Draft policy wording and prepare insurance policy terms and conditions. - Collaborate with insurance brokers and customers to ensure smooth policy issuance and management.
