About E&S Team

This shift has bought about an increased requirement of digital assets, infrastructure, upskilling of teachers and content. With the requirement of tech-enabled learning solutions to only accelerate further, the Government is laying down new frameworks and adopting an even more holistic and futuristic approach towards education and skill development. The education and skill development practice of KPMG in India comprises a team of experienced professionals delivering forward-looking advisory services across the spectrum, such as K-12 education including Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), foundational literacy and numeracy skills, Technical and Vocational Education, and Training (TVET), higher education, education technology, and supplementary education.

Job Summary:

Instructional Design Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

1. Storyboard Development

  • Collaborate with SMEs to create NEP/NCrF-compliant instructional storyboards.
  • Ensure logical flow, instructional accuracy, and clarity.
  • Refine storyboards to meet academic and industry-aligned learning outcomes.

2. Instructor-Led and Multimedia Support

  • Develop faculty notes for classroom delivery aligned with course objectives.
  • Customize notes for diverse teaching styles while maintaining rigor.
  • Support video scripting, shoot coordination, and content review.
  • Ensure video content aligns with storyboard and learning goals.

3. Project Collaboration and Management

  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to manage timelines and deliverables.
  • Apply project management skills to oversee course development.
  • Serve as a communication bridge between SMEs, designers, and multimedia teams.

4. Quality Control and Research Integration

  • Conduct QC checks at various stages of content development.
  • Provide feedback and implement revisions for consistency and compliance.
  • Integrate current research and best practices into instructional design.

Qualifications and Skills:

Essential:

  • Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in instructional design or digital learning.
  • Experience working with SMEs and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms and SCORM/xAPI standards.
  • Strong communication, time management, and independent working skills.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of NEP, NCrF, and national education guidelines.
  • Proficiency in tools like Articulate Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, Da Vinci Resolve.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva.
  • Basic photo/audio editing skills (e.g., Audition, Audacity).
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
