Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Injection Mold Designer with expertise in creating molds for automotive components and household/consumer products. The ideal candidate brings solid knowledge of precision tooling, high-volume production, and cost-effective design optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Create single- and multi-cavity injection molds, including hot runner, cold runner, two-plate, three-plate, insert, thin-wall, and large-size configurations.
• CAD & Documentation: Produce detailed 2D/3D CAD models and drawings with accurate parting lines, gating, cooling, slides, lifters, and ejector systems.
• Analysis & Materials: Conduct DFM reviews and mold-flow analysis; select appropriate tool steels, shrinkage values, and plastics (engineering plastics for automotive, commodity plastics for household).
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs meet automotive standards, consumer product requirements for cost, aesthetics, and scalability.
• Optimization: Enhance mold durability, ease of maintenance, and cost-effectiveness across product categories.
• BOM: Prepare and maintain bills of materials and complete technical documentation.

Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Tool & Die Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Plastics Engineering.
• Proficiency in Creo, UG NX, or AutoCAD for 2D/3D design.
• Experience with mold-flow/simulation software (Moldflow, Moldex3D) preferred.
• Ability to achieve aesthetic surface finishes for consumer products and tight dimensional accuracy for automotive components.
• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and cross-functional teamwork skills.
