Job Description

Job Title: Infrastructure Lead Migration Planning (Asia Time zone) Location: Asia (Remote/Flexible with some US time zone calls) Overview: We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Lead to drive the migration planning of a newly acquired company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data center infrastructure, application, and hardware migrations (DC to DC). This role requires expertise in storage and compute solutions across on-premise and AWS environments, as well as strong project planning and technical design skills. Experience across Asia is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: Lead the planning and execution of data center infrastructure migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Design and implement migration strategies for applications and hardware from DC to DC. Assess current infrastructure and create migration roadmaps, addressing risks and dependencies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of storage and compute resources (on-prem and AWS). Provide technical leadership in designing scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure solutions. Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and risk assessments. Coordinate with stakeholders across Asia and North America, accommodating time zone differences for critical meetings. Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements throughout the migration process. Mentor and guide technical teams, fostering best practices in infrastructure and cloud migration. Required Skills & Experience: 10+ years of experience in infrastructure management, data center migrations, and enterprise IT environments. Proven expertise in storage and compute solutions, both on-premises and in AWS. Strong background in data center infrastructure planning, including application and hardware migration strategies. Experience in designing and implementing cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions. Solid understanding of network architectures, virtualization, and security best practices. Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills. Experience working across multiple regions, preferably in Asia. Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate US-based meetings when necessary. Certifications in AWS, VMware, or related technologies are a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) infrastructure integration. Hands-on experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Exposure to IT service management (ITSM) frameworks such as ITIL.
