Job Title: Information Security Engineer Location: Bangalore / Gurugram (Hybrid – willing to work from office as needed) Compensation: ₹20 – ₹30 LPA Job Type: Full-Time Experience Level: 7+ Years Skill Matrix: Required in AWS, GCP, Terraform, Cloud Security, and Network Automation Job Summary We are hiring a highly skilled Cloud Security & Network Automation Engineer to join our global cloud security engineering team. This role is a key part of our network security initiatives in the public cloud, focusing on automation, scalability, and secure delivery in platforms like AWS and GCP. As a part of American Express' cloud transformation journey, the candidate will be expected to work cross-functionally with architecture, security, and DevOps teams to deliver robust, automated, and secure network solutions in hybrid cloud environments. Key Responsibilities Engage with stakeholders across cloud, networking, and security teams to gather complex infrastructure requirements. Deliver secure and scalable cloud network designs and automation pipelines. Provide deep technical guidance on public cloud security , including IaaS, PaaS, and containerized environments. Design and develop reusable Terraform modules for network security enforcement and governance. Automate deployment and configuration of security controls and monitoring mechanisms in public cloud. Continuously optimize infrastructure code and security patterns to ensure performance, scalability, and compliance. Contribute to the creation of secure cloud design patterns and architecture standards. Stay abreast of emerging cloud security threats and tools to maintain a modern cloud security posture. Minimum Qualifications 7+ years of experience in data center, cloud infrastructure, and network engineering . 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS and GCP (mandatory). 3+ years of expertise in container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, microservices). 3+ years of experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform . 3+ years of hands-on work in advanced networking and security within public cloud platforms . Strong understanding of cloud-native security tools and practices. Familiarity with security domains: Vulnerability Management, Network Security, DLP, Identity & Access Management (IAM) , and Endpoint Security . Deep technical expertise in network design, segmentation, firewalls, and proxy infrastructure in cloud environments. Experience working with security automation , monitoring , and compliance frameworks . Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). Relevant certifications such as: Terraform Associate AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) AWS Certified Security – Specialty AWS Advanced Networking – Specialty GCP Professional Cloud Architect / Network Engineer / Cloud Security Engineer Experience building and managing secure microservice architectures and Kubernetes security controls .
