Industrial Nurse

Key Responsibilities and DutiesThe primary duties of a manufacturing nurse include:

• First Aid and Emergency Care: Providing immediate medical care and first aid for on-site injuries or sudden illnesses, and coordinating with hospitals if necessary for emergency transfers.
• Health Assessments and Screenings: Conducting pre-employment, periodic, and return-to-work health assessments and screenings (e.g., vital signs, vision/hearing tests, immunizations).
• Workplace Safety and Hazard Identification: Performing regular workplace inspections to identify potential health and safety hazards (e.g., physical, chemical, ergonomic) and recommending corrective actions.
• Health and Safety Program Development: Developing, implementing, and managing health and wellness programs, including training sessions on injury prevention, hygiene, ergonomics, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Medical Records Management: Maintaining accurate, confidential medical records for all employees in compliance with privacy laws and documentation standards.
• Compliance and Collaboration: Collaborating with management, HR, safety teams, and occupational health physicians to ensure the workplace complies with all relevant occupational health and safety regulations and standards.
• Case Management: Providing guidance and support to injured or ill employees throughout the recovery and return-to-work processes, including facilitating accommodations and rehabilitation.
• Counseling and Support: Offering counseling and support for employees dealing with general health concerns, stress, or mental health issues, and making referrals to employee assistance programs when appropriate.Key Responsibilities and DutiesThe primary duties of a manufacturing nurse include:
