Industrial IoT Software Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Industrial IoT (IIoT) Software Engineer with 2–4 years of experience in developing IoT applications, dashboards, and integrations. The role involves working with edge devices, industrial protocols, and modern IoT platforms to build scalable and secure industrial solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop

  IoT applications, dashboards, and custom visualization components

  .
• Implement

  rule-based workflows

  for data processing, alarms, and event handling.
• Connect and integrate

  edge devices, PLCs, and gateways

  using industrial protocols (

  MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus, HTTP

  ).
• Build and maintain

  APIs and microservices

  for IoT-to-enterprise integrations.
• Work with

  time-series and relational databases

  (PostgreSQL, Time scale DB, InfluxDB).
• Write

  JavaScript/TypeScript

  for custom logic, data transformation, and UI components.
• Deploy and test IoT applications using

  Docker

  and basic

  CI/CD pipelines

  .
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize IoT solutions in lab and production environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electronics & Telecommunication (E&TC).

• 2–4 years of experience

  in software development, with exposure to IoT/IIoT projects.
• Proficiency in

  JavaScript/TypeScript

  and at least one backend language (

  Python, Java, or Node.js

  ).
• Hands-on experience with

  IoT protocols

  (MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus).
• Knowledge of

  databases

  (PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, InfluxDB).
• Experience with

  REST APIs, WebSockets, and event-driven systems

  .
• Basic understanding of

  Docker

  and containerized deployments.

Nice to Have

• Experience with

  cloud IoT platforms

  (AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, GCP IoT).
• Familiarity with

  data streaming (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

  .
• Exposure to

  industrial automation systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS)

  .
• Understanding of

  cybersecurity in IoT

  .
• Knowledge of

  edge computing

  or device software development.
• Hands on experience with ThingWorx and ThingsBoard
