Industrial Designer

Job Description

As an industrial designer you will involve the engineering and technical teams into the creative processes to ensure the feasibility of the product. You will work with many different specialists such as clinicians, scientists, engineers, marketers and accountants, to create new products. When beginning a project, you may start with the team meeting/the stakeholders to advise the product planning team on how existing products can be improved and new ones introduced. You will have to carry out market research/ usability research to assess the product performance characteristics required by consumers and establish visual characteristics that will give the sales team an edge in the marketplace. Responsibilities Function as a primary content creator responsible for all Design deliverables on the project.Produce design solutions as an industrial design contributor. Develop ideas into design solutions based on an understanding of end user requirements. Collaborate with marketing and engineering to assure successful implementation of industrial designs. Follow up with manufacturing and production processes as required. Integrate effectively into a multidisciplinary group that includes cognitive and behavioral scientists, clinicians and engineers and deliver to strict deadlines in a fast paced environment. Conduct research and gather data to develop we'll-informed strategic plans Demonstrate the ability to think strategically, while developing a strong rationale for your design recommendations that are based on market, consumer, brand, and business rationale. Lead the creative process through the facilitation of concept ideation sessions, brainstorms, and creative discussions. Work as a team leader developing complex innovation and design strategies. Develop 3D digital models of high complexity and sophistication that are both aesthetically accurate and technically robust. Innovate within known manufacturing techniques, specifying materials, construction, mechanisms, color and surface finish. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate design concepts and relevant project information clearly to different audiences. Required Skills CAD modelling skills using Solidworks, Rhino3D. Vector illustration making skills ( illustrator, Coral Draw etc.)
