Job Overview: Ekanto Apon is seeking a versatile and experienced Indian Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and the ability to handle multiple culinary tasks efficiently. You will be responsible for preparing a variety of dishes, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare authentic Kolkata-style Biryani with traditional flavors
• Ensure the quality and presentation of all food served.
• Assist in menu planning and suggest new dishes or improvements.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage inventory, including ordering and stock rotation.
• Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
• Handle customer feedback and adjust recipes as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene as per FSSAI standards.
• Control wastage of raw materials and monitor kitchen inventory.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Indian kitchens.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Formal culinary training or relevant certifications.
• Experience in menu development and costing.
• Familiarity with local ingredients and traditional recipes.

Working Hours:

• Full-time position with flexible hours. Specific shifts will be discussed during the interview.
