Imports & Exports - Supply Chain Head

You will be responsible for leading the end-to-end supply chain strategy at Scimplify, with a specific focus on imports, exports, and international logistics. Your key responsibilities will include: - Managing global trade operations, including customs clearance, documentation, and regulatory compliance (DGFT, EXIM, GST, FEMA, etc.). - Optimizing import/export processes to reduce lead times, improve cost efficiency, and ensure timely delivery. - Developing and maintaining relationships with freight forwarders, customs agents, logistics providers, and regulatory bodies. - Overseeing demand planning, inventory management, and distribution strategies to support business objectives. - Driving supplier negotiations and contracts to secure competitive freight rates and optimize working capital. - Collaborating with finance, legal, and operations teams to align trade policies with organizational goals. - Ensuring compliance with international trade laws and country-specific regulations. - Implementing digital tools and automation to enhance visibility and control over supply chain processes. - Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing supply chain team. Qualifications required for this role: - 10-15 years of experience in global supply chain, imports, and exports (Chemicals industry preferred). - Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, EXIM policies, and customs compliance. - Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage global vendor relationships. - Experience in scaling supply chain operations for growth-stage companies/startups is an advantage. - Excellent leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
