Import Export Executive - Customs Clearance

Key Responsibilities: Coordinate customs clearance activities for inbound and outbound international shipments, primarily for air freight. Prepare and verify customs documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, airway bills, and certificates of origin. Ensure correct classification of goods using HS codes, declaration of value, and origin per customs regulations. Work closely with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure timely release and delivery of shipments. Monitor and manage customs holds, inspections, and examinations, and resolve issues proactively. Stay updated on local and international customs regulations, Incoterms, and trade compliance requirements. Liaise with internal departments (operations, warehouse, procurement, and customer service) to ensure proper documentation and shipment coordination. Support audits and maintain accurate records of customs entries and shipment files in line with regulatory and internal requirements.
