Key Responsibilities

Import Customs Clearance

Coordinate with Customs House Agents (CHA) for filing of Bills of Entry (BOE).
Verify import documents such as Invoice, Packing List, HAWB/MAWB, COO, and other mandatory certificates.
Ensure correct HS Code classification, duty structure, and valuation as per Customs regulations.
Manage special import cases such as:

Used machinery
Re-import shipments

Resolve customs queries, objections, and assessments.

Freight Forwarding Operations

Coordinate with overseas agents, airlines, shipping lines, and transporters.
Track shipment status from origin to final delivery.
Monitor arrival schedules, free time, and demurrage/detention.
Plan timely delivery to consignee to avoid additional charges.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of import customs clearance procedures
Understanding of freight forwarding operations (Air/Sea)
Familiarity with Customs ICEGATE, BOE filing, and import regulations
Good communication and coordination skills
