Import & Customs Clearance Senior Executive

Job Summary

We are looking for an Import & Customs Clearance Senior Executive to handle day-to-day import clearance execution and coordination in India. This role focuses on SKD/CKD material imports, documentation review, regulatory compliance, and close coordination with CHA and customs authorities to ensure timely cargo clearance. The position is execution-oriented and suitable for candidates who can join quickly and handle routine customs clearance independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle import customs clearance activities for SKD/CKD materials in compliance with Indian regulations.
• Check and verify import checklists and documentation before customs filing.
• Apply for and follow up on IGCR, SIMS, and PIMS as required.
• Coordinate with Customs House Agents (CHA) and customs officials to ensure timely clearance of shipments.
• Handle customs queries and follow up to ensure cargo release within required timelines.
• Track and manage Bank Guarantee (BG) usage and ensure timely return of BG quotas.
• Ensure compliance with BIS, WPC, and other applicable Indian local certification requirements.
• Maintain basic reports and tracking sheets using MS Excel.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• 4–7 years of hands-on experience in import customs clearance.
• Practical knowledge of SKD/CKD imports and duty concession rules.
• Working knowledge of BIS, WPC, and Indian import compliance requirements.
• Experience in handling IGCR / SIMS / PIMS processes.
• Prior experience working with or coordinating CHA is strongly preferred.
• Good English written and spoken communication skills (mandatory).
• Proficient in MS Excel for tracking and documentation.
• Ability to join within a short notice period preferred.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (Commerce / Logistics / Supply Chain or related field).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
