Framatome Private Limited (FPL) is a 100% subsidiary of Framatome, France. FPL is having its registered office in Navi Mumbai (Rupa Renaissance). Framatome has been in the business for over 65 years and established as an international leader in nuclear technology. Framatomes activities focus on five main areas:

• Nuclear power plant design
• Nuclear Steam Supply Systems (NSSSs)
• Fuel and components design and manufacturing
• I&C systems integration
• Operations and maintenance of all types of nuclear reactors

FPL has been set up in India in February 2025 to benefit from Indian strong nuclear and technical competencies to support Framatomes operations worldwide. FPL has started supporting Framatome Canada, who is engaged in the maintenance, upgradation, and life extension of nuclear reactors in Canada.

Preferred candidate profile

Under general supervision, performs varied and difficult engineering tasks requiring application of established techniques and procedures. Assignments involve responsibility for planning/conducting a complete task or portion of a larger project under direction of more experienced staff. Provides technical support related to planning, designing, analysing, constructing and maintaining structures, systems and components. Provides engineering advice, as needed. 

Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities

- Prepare or verify engineering products such as: 

• Piping designs, system modifications, component design 
• Engineering, Technical, and Procurement specifications for systems, piping or 

components. 

• Engineering drawings, bills of materials and supporting calculations describing 

equipment/system design in accordance with all applicable codes and standards 

• Code related calculations and reports as required. 
• Design Plans and associated documents to customer specifications 

-Participate on work planning (discuss tasks with the partners, set boundary conditions, assess budgets) 

-Participate on review of our partners reports 

-Prepare / review recommendation documents 

-Participate on technical discussions - intern and extern 

-Participation / take-over of external communication to our partner 

-Participate to projects in the area of either mechanical Layout, Piping engineering or 

service projects such as component replacements - or welding.

Required education, skills and knowledge

• Graduated education in mechanical engineering; focus on piping engineering layout preferred. 
• At least 2 years of work experience 
• Basic knowledge on nuclear technology (at least 6 months experience in a nuclear company) 
• Experienced in Microsoft Office Application (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, OneNote) 
• Experience in engineering tools (adaption to new tools) preferred 
• Able and motivated to work in a foreign environment 
• Fast recognition of new tasks and processes 
• Overall motivation 
• Teamwork skills 

Positions are open in Navi Mumbai (Rupa Renaissance), travels to Canada / Germany and France are to be expected.

Preferred candidate profile

Required Education & Skills :-

• Graduation in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 2 years of work experience in design & engineering of equipment, Procurement, piping, supports, etc.
• Post graduation in engineering
