Job Description

Job Title: Demi Chef de Partie (Indian / Continental / Asian Wok)
Location: [Sushant Lok Phase 1, Gurugram]
Department: Kitchen / Culinary
Reporting To: Chef de Partie / Sous Chef / Head Chef

Job Summary:

The Demi Chef de Partie (DCDP) assists the Chef de Partie in preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes within their designated section — Indian, Continental, or Asian Wok. The role demands strong technical cooking skills, creativity, time management, and consistency in maintaining high culinary standards and hygiene practices.
Key Responsibilities: Food Preparation & Cooking

  • Prepare and cook dishes according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Support the Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and portion control.
  • Manage mise-en-place efficiently for smooth service operations.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with recipe, portion, and presentation standards.

Section Management

  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and setup of the assigned section.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in requisitioning ingredients as required.
  • Report shortages, equipment issues, or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Assist in controlling wastage and optimizing food cost.

Teamwork & Coordination

  • Work closely with other kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient service.
  • Assist in training and guiding Commis chefs within the section.
  • Communicate effectively with the service team for smooth coordination.

Quality & Hygiene

  • Follow all HACCP, food safety, and hygiene protocols strictly.
  • Ensure all food storage areas and equipment are clean and sanitized.
  • Adhere to grooming standards and personal hygiene at all times.

Requirements:Education & Experience

  • Diploma or Certificate in Hotel Management / Culinary Arts.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Commis I or DCDP in a reputed hotel or restaurant.
  • Proven expertise in Indian / Continental / Asian Wok cuisine (any one or multiple).

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of ingredients, cooking techniques, and plating standards.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Attention to detail, creativity, and commitment to high standards.

Job Type: Full-Time Working Hours: As per operation schedule / rotational shifts

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
