Syntax has undisputed strength to implement and manage ERP deployments (Oracle, SAP) in a secure and resilient private, public or hybrid cloud With strong technical and functional consulting services, and world-class monitoring and automation, Syntax serves some of North Americas largest corporations across a diverse range of industries Syntax has offices worldwide, and partners with Oracle, SAP, AWS, Microsoft, IBM and other global technology leaders, Title: Software Asset Management Consultant Main Duties and Responsibilities Act as a consultant within the Oracle Licensing Practice within the organization, working with cus- tomers to create effective license positioning documents and associated software order forms, Provide input and help automate customer-facing License Assessments for Oracle software, includ- ing Database, Middleware, E-Business Suite, and JD Edwards programs, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, Analyse and optimize Oracle licensing contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with business needs; process transactions with Oracle as well as Syntax sales and finance personnel, Manage the renewal process for Oracle licenses, ensuring timely and cost-effective renewals, Assist technical teams by providing pre and post license assessments for cloud migration projects, comparing cost-effective solutions in terms of licensing and support renewals, Prepare and defend against Oracle license audits, conduct pre-audit checks to identify and mitigate potential compliance issues, Keep the knowledge base up to date with the latest Oracle licensing changes, ensuring the team is informed of new policies, metrics, and compliance requirements, Work closely with internal stakeholders, including IT, procurement, and legal teams, to ensure align- ment and compliance with Oracle licensing requirements, Prepare detailed reports and documentation to support licensing decisions and audit responses, Continuously monitor and analyze relevant KPIs, Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle license management, with a focus on ELP creation, contract optimization, and renewal management, Proven leadership and people management skills, with experience in setting up and leading a prac- tice or team, In-depth understanding of Oracle Database, Middleware, E-Business Suite, and JD Edwards licens- ing models and compliance requirements, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, Relevant certifications in software asset management or Oracle licensing (eg, Certified Software Asset Manager, Oracle Certified Expert) are preferred Why Syntax Become a part of our success story and work in a company with exciting innovation projects that are causing a stir across the industry We recently launched one of the world's most advanced manufacturing facilities based on SAP S/4HANA Cloud and SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud for Execution for Smart Press Shop, a pioneering joint venture between Porsche and forming specialist Schuler, Competitive, above-average compensation Global tourist: With us, you can also work from abroad from time to time Flexible working time models, home office Attractive benefits, eg company pension scheme or various health offers A modern environment in which the "you" is part of it Open feedback culture, flat hierarchies and a motivated team Individual career planning with continuous training and coaching on the job You see a personal challenge in this responsible taskApply now and become part of the SYNTAX team!
