Job Description

Identity & Access Management (IAM) / Active Directory Engineer

Primary Responsibilities (Main Work)

Active Directory (On-Prem)

Manage domain controllers, OUs (organizational units), GPOs, DNS, etc.
Create and manage service accounts (gMSA).
Monitor and troubleshoot AD issues.
Fix security issues found during audits.
Maintain AD documentation.

Azure Active Directory

Manage users, groups, access rights.
App integration & access control.
Work with hybrid identity (on-prem + cloud).
Use Azure AD Connect, Azure Access packages.
Handle SSO (SAML, OIDC) & B2B tenant sync problems.
Guide internal teams on identity management.

Migration & Upgrades

Move or upgrade from on-prem to cloud environments.
Secondary Responsibilities

AWS Directory Services

Manage AWS Managed AD.
Integrate AWS AD with applications.
Troubleshoot AWS identity & networking issues.

Terraform (IaC)

Create automated infrastructure deployments.
Build reusable Terraform modules.
Maintain IaC best practices.
Work with CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills & Experience

Must Have

Strong experience in on-prem AD (GPO, DNS, replication)
Azure AD experience (conditional access, user lifecycle) Hybrid identity expertise (AD Connect, password sync) Knowledge of authentication protocols Kerberos, NTLM, SAML, OAuth PowerShell scripting Good understanding of IAM security Good communication & problem-solving
