We are looking for a skilled Networking Hardware Engineer to design, install and configure network infrastructure components across multiple locations. The engineer will be responsible for deploying and testing LAN cabling systems, networking hardware and security solutions, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with technical specifications. The role requires hands-on expertise in network equipment and systems, as well as collaboration with project teams. Responsibilities Install Cat6 cables, patch panels, keystone jacks, faceplates, fiber optic cables and 9U racks at designated locations, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Deploy and configure 24-port L2 switches, 8-port L2 switches, core switches and firewalls according to the specified network topology. Set up and configure a Network Management System (NMS) with a centralized dashboard at the DMER Head Office, including activation of device licenses. Install and configure endpoint security solutions with dual-factor authentication, Active Directory (AD) synchronization and threat protection on all network nodes. Perform end-to-end testing of LAN connectivity, switch performance and firewall rules to ensure seamless network operation. Conduct testing of the NMS for fault management, performance monitoring and centralized reporting functionalities. Validate endpoint security features, including threat detection and isolation, to ensure robust protection across the network. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cabling, networking hardware and security systems during installation and testing. Document installation processes, configurations and test results for future reference and compliance. Collaborate with the Project Manager and other team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science /MCA/MCM/ Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in networking hardware installation and configuration. Hands-on expertise with Cat6 and fiber optic cabling, patch panels, keystone jacks, faceplates and rack installations. Proficiency in configuring L2 switches, core switches and firewalls. Experience with Network Management Systems (NMS) and centralized dashboard setup. Knowledge of endpoint security solutions, including dual-factor authentication, AD synchronization and threat protection. Familiarity with network testing tools and methodologies for LAN, switch performance and security validation. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Relevant certifications preferred. Proven expertise in coordinating cabling, networking hardware and security solution deployments. Strong understanding of network topologies, L2 switches, firewalls and NMS platforms. Experience with endpoint security solutions, including dual-factor authentication and AD synchronization. PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred. Excellent organizational, leadership and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
