Job Description – MD Physician Position Title: Consultant Physician (MD) Department: General Medicine Reporting To: Medical Director / Hospital Administrator Location: Yelahanka, Bangalore Hospital Size: 55-bedded hospital with ICU and general wards Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care · • Provide comprehensive medical care for inpatients (ward and ICU) and outpatients. · • Conduct detailed patient evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning. · • Manage critically ill patients in ICU in coordination with intensivists and critical care nurses. · • Perform daily ward rounds; ensure timely patient review and progress documentation. · • Supervise admission, discharge, and patient transfers with complete documentation. Outpatient Services · • Attend daily OPD from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and provide quality consultation to walk-in and referred patients. · • Guide follow-up care and preventive advice to patients. Emergency Care · • Respond promptly to medical emergencies in ER, wards, and ICU. · • Provide emergency medical management and coordinate with surgical/ICU teams when required. Coordination & Consultation · • Liaise with other consultants and specialists for cross-consultations. · • Coordinate with duty doctors, nursing staff, and paramedical teams for seamless patient care delivery. · • Participate in multidisciplinary discussions and care planning. Required Qualifications · • MBBS + MD (General Medicine) from a recognized university. · • Valid Karnataka Medical Council registration. · • 2–5 years of post-MD experience preferred, including ICU care.
