IBM DB2 admin with BPM

IBM DB2 Database Administrator

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain

  IBM DB2 databases

  across development, test, and production environments.
• Monitor database performance, implement tuning, and ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
  
• Perform

  database backup, recovery, and security administration

  in compliance with company policies.
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide root cause analysis for incidents.
  
• Collaborate with BPM teams to design, deploy, and optimize

  IBM BPM processes and integrations

  .
• Support

  application developers

  by creating and tuning queries, stored procedures, triggers, and schema changes.
• Implement automation for routine administrative tasks where possible.
  
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and audit requirements.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven hands-on experience as a

  DB2 DBA

  (LUW / z/OS, depending on environment).
• Strong knowledge of

  DB2 architecture, configuration, and performance tuning

  .
• Experience with

  high availability and disaster recovery (HADR, TSA, Q Replication, or similar technologies)

  .
• Proficiency in

  SQL scripting, shell scripting, and automation tools

  .
• Working knowledge of

  IBM BPM (Business Process Manager)

  , including process modeling, deployment, and optimization.
• Experience integrating BPM workflows with DB2 databases.
  
• Familiarity with

  middleware and integration tools

  supporting BPM.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with

  cloud-based DB2 deployments

  (IBM Cloud, AWS, or Azure).
• Knowledge of

  DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks

  .
• Familiarity with other databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) is a plus.
  
• IBM certifications in

  DB2 Database Administration

  and/or

  IBM BPM

  .
