We are looking for a detail-oriented and data-driven Financial Analyst to join our Global Business Services (GBS) Finance team. In this role, you will support cost reporting, analysis, and allocation for workforce-related expenses across business units, regions, and service lines. You will work closely with the senior finance team and business partners, using tools like Power BI and Excel to develop insightful dashboards and financial models. This position offers great exposure to cross-functional collaboration, financial planning processes, and continuous improvement in reporting and data visualization. Financial Planning & Analysis Support the preparation of financial models and templates. Assist in the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP). Perform monthly cost variance analysis and support quarterly forecasting. Perform month-end close process for GBS cost centres. Analyse cost drivers and trends to support informed decision-making. Cost Allocation & Reporting Assist in the allocation of workforce-related costs across functions, regions, and internal clients. Help build and maintain Power BI dashboards for internal reporting and transparency. Contribute to process automation and data validation for improved reporting accuracy. Collaboration & Communication Partner with service delivery leads and other teams to ensure data alignment. Support senior analysts with data preparation, reporting packs, and presentation materials. Provide guidance and technical expertise to junior members of the team in completing projects and performing FP&A and reporting activities. Deliver clear and concise reports to finance stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 5+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis or controlling, ideally in a multinational or shared services environment. Advanced proficiency in MS Office tools Experience with ERP systems (Oracle and IBM Cognos preferred). Exposure to Power BI type reporting and dashboard tools. Additional Information Technical Skills Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling). Experience with Power BI (dashboards, Power Query, DAX) or similar BI tools. Proficiency in PowerPoint for communicating financial insights. Understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and cost allocation. The Business Intelligence Developer (Cognos) is responsible for ensuring reports, analysis, and dashboards are shared with respective stakeholders, using business intelligence tools such as IBM Cognos, Power BI, SQL and PLSQL. The BI Analyst must have the ability to operate on both a strategic and tactical level, touching all aspects of the analytics process, including the analytics discovery phase, tagging/tracking, optimizing, and analysis. Candidate must have very good experience with Cognos Report Development and Supporting Adhoc User Requests. Key Accountabilities: Design and develop BI solution including complex reports, visualizations, cubes, and metadata models using Cognos Analytics. Troubleshoot and provide recommend solutions for optimized design techniques to build reports/dashboards and using Cognos 11, Cognos Framework Manager, Unix Script/ Cognos SDK. Build analytical reports and dashboards using Power BI based on business requirements Proven ability to develop complex analysis and then present it in a concise, impactful way to influence senior leadership. Expert knowledge in SQL skills including stored procedure etc. Create Dashboards and reports in Power BI and IBM Cognos. Create reporting test scripts in RedShift and Netezza to test reports. Identify issues and optimize reports performance using Power BI and IBM Cognos. Ability to support Adhoc Requests. Develop Business Intelligence (BI) reports from discovery through deployment. Education and Experience: 5+ years of IT experience. 3+ years of Experience with Cognos Suits, TY/LY trends development, marketing strategy. Bachelors degree is required, preferably in Computers Science or related field. Skills and Behaviors Must be detail-oriented with strong mathematical and written abilities. Key Responsibilities: Lead the delivery and implementation of scalable BI solutions using IBM Cognos. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, timelines, and resource requirements. Design and implement custom, device-responsive layouts for dashboards and reports. Integrate dynamic data sources, enabling real-time or near-real-time data updates. Utilize advanced charting libraries to create visually engaging and informative data visualizations. Apply frontend and backend scripting frameworks to extend dashboard capabilities and interactivity. Ensure BI solutions are optimized for performance, maintainability, and usability. Provide leadership and mentoring to junior developers or analysts on BI best practices and delivery standards. Preferred candidate profile 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience with IBM Cognos BI tools. • Proven experience leading large-scale BI/analytics projects from design through deployment. • Strong understanding of responsive dashboard design and UI/UX best practices. • Proficiency with scripting languages and frameworks for both frontend (JavaScript, HTML/CSS) and backend (e.g., Python, SQL) - Good to have not mandatory • Expertise in integrating charting and visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, Highcharts)-Good to have not mandatory
