Automation & Tooling – Leverage and extend our Migration Accelerator to automate up to 50% of mapping and deployment tasks. – Develop custom connectors or scripts (Python/.NET) that plug into the accelerator for bespoke Cognos tasks or unsupported metadata scenarios. – Integrate the acceleration toolkit into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions) for repeatable, auditable migrations. Report & Dashboard Recreation – Rebuild Cognos report layouts in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Paginated Reports where pixel-perfect output is required. – Adapt interactive dashboards using bookmarks, drill-throughs, and custom visuals to match or exceed Cognos functionality. Quality Assurance & Validation – Design automated test suites that compare row-counts, aggregations, and visualization outputs between Cognos and Power BI. – Drive user acceptance testing (UAT) with business stakeholders, capture feedback, and iterate quickly.
