We are seeking a passionate and skilled **IBDP Economics Teacher** to join a leading IB school in Kerala. The ideal candidate will bring a strong academic foundation, international teaching experience, and a commitment to fostering inquiry-based learning among senior secondary students.
The selected educator will be responsible for teaching **International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) Economics** to Grade 11 and 12 students, ensuring that lessons are engaging, conceptually rigorous, and aligned with the IB curriculum framework. The role requires a balance of classroom teaching, curriculum development, assessment planning, and student mentoring, with an emphasis on global perspectives and critical thinking.# Responsibilities* Plan and deliver **IBDP Economics lessons** according to IB standards and assessment criteria.* Develop inquiry-based activities that promote **critical thinking, data analysis, and real-world economic applications**.* Guide students in **Extended Essays, Internal Assessments, and TOK (Theory of Knowledge) connections**.* Assess student progress using formative and summative methods, providing constructive feedback.* Participate actively in school academic planning, departmental meetings, and professional development sessions.* Collaborate with colleagues to integrate **interdisciplinary links across IB subjects**.* Mentor and support students in preparing for **IBDP final examinations**.# Required Qualifications* **Master’s or Bachelor’s degree** in Economics or related field.* **IB-certified training** in Economics (Category 1/2/3 preferred).* Strong knowledge of the **IB Economics curriculum and assessment framework**.# Experience* **Minimum 1 year of IB teaching experience** in Economics is mandatory.* Prior teaching experience in international curricula (IBDP, IGCSE, A-Levels) will be an added advantage.# Skills Required* Strong subject expertise in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, International Trade, and Development Economics.* Excellent **communication, presentation, and classroom management skills**.* Ability to design engaging learning experiences using technology and digital platforms.* Strong mentoring and academic counseling abilities.# Employment TypeFull-time, On-campus# LocationKerala, India
