Profile - Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Qualification - Diploma / B.Tech- Mechanical

Salary - Upto 4.2 LPA

Experience - Min. 7 years of hands-on experience in maintaining heavy machinery used in metal recycling, heavy machine tools, and industrial equipment operations.

Location - Pimpri-Chinchwad, Maharashtra

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance on heavy recycling machinery and equipment (shredders, balers, shears, crushers, conveyors, etc.).

Diagnose and repair issues related to hydraulic systems—hydraulic cylinders, valves, pumps, hoses, and seals.

Inspect, overhaul, and replace mechanical components, including gearboxes, bearings, couplings, belts, chains, and other rotating equipment.

Monitor machine performance and identify areas for improvement to reduce downtime.

Prepare and follow maintenance schedules, checklists, and logs.

Conduct root cause analysis for repetitive failures and implement corrective actions.

Coordinate with production teams to ensure maximum equipment uptime.

Maintain inventory of critical spares and coordinate procurement with the store/maintenance planner.

Ensure adherence to safety protocols, lockout/tag-out procedures, and company maintenance standards.

Support installation, commissioning, and testing of new machinery and equipment.

Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and service reports.

Train technicians/operators on basic machine maintenance practices.
