HVAC System Service Manager

As an HVAC Service Manager, your role involves leading staff members who install, repair, and maintain heating and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial buildings. You will work closely with service and installation technicians, dispatch personnel, and other managers to ensure customer satisfaction and meet departmental goals. Your responsibilities include: - Scheduling, directing, and providing technical support for HVAC technicians to meet service demands and customer expectations. - Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training HVAC technicians as needed. - Supervising and directing HVAC technicians to ensure quality work and customer satisfaction. - Conducting performance appraisals, reviews, and setting improvement goals for technicians. - Establishing and maintaining a regular training program for technicians. - Communicating regularly with dispatch to ensure proper scheduling and reporting project information. - Maintaining communication with vendors and factory personnel regarding warranty issues and product problems. - Developing and monitoring budgets, goals, and objectives for departmental profitability. - Reviewing work orders, invoices, and time reports for accuracy and timely cash flow. - Ensuring compliance with company policies by all HVAC technicians. - Overseeing assigned HVAC service vehicles and ensuring they are properly maintained. - Keeping current with factory training on products and coordinating technician training. - Generating sales leads, promoting maintenance agreements, and managing installation projects. - Collaborating with other departmental managers to meet company goals and objectives. To qualify for this role, you should have: - Mechanical background with in-depth knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems. - Ability to read, interpret, and train on manuals, schematics, and control circuits. - Excellent customer service, sales skills, and technical aptitude. - Good leadership, communication, conflict management skills, and attention to detail. - Strong computer skills and a desire for improvement. - Ability to work independently and professionally. - Valid driving license.
