HVAC Design & Estimation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• HVAC System Design:

  Perform detailed heat load calculations, duct sizing, chilled water and VRF piping design, and selection of HVAC equipment based on project requirements.

• BOQ Preparation:

  Develop accurate Bill of Quantities and equipment schedules based on tender documents, drawings, and specifications.

• Cost Estimation:

  Prepare cost estimates and pricing for HVAC projects including materials, labour, and subcontracting components.

• Tender & Technical Submittals:

  Prepare technical submissions, compliance sheets, and respond to tender queries.

• Value Engineering:

  Propose cost-effective alternatives without compromising on system performance or quality.

• Vendor Coordination:

  Obtain and compare quotations from OEMs and suppliers for system components and equipment.

• Client Interaction:

  Attend design meetings with consultants/clients and support the sales team with technical presentations.

• Project Handover Support:

  Coordinate with execution teams to ensure design intent is properly translated during implementation.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–6 years of experience in HVAC design and estimation (experience with pharma/hospitality/industrial projects preferred).
• Proficient in HVAC software tools such as

  HAP

  ,

  AutoCAD

  , and

  Carrier/Daikin selection tools

  .
• Sound knowledge of

  ASHRAE

  ,

  ISHRAE

  , and

  NBC

  standards.
• Strong command over MS Excel and technical documentation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency.
