Job Title: HR Specialist
Location: Ahmedabad
Shift Time: 10:30 am to 7:30 pm (Monday to Friday)
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: HR Manager / HR Director
Position Overview:
The HR Specialist is responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations and ensuring efficient delivery of HR services across various functional areas such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, payroll coordination, and compliance.
The role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to implementing HR policies and procedures that align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Onboarding Manage end-to-end recruitment process including job posting, screening, interviews, and offer management. Coordinate with department heads to understand staffing needs and ensure timely hiring. Conduct background checks and oversee onboarding documentation. Organize and conduct employee orientation and induction programs.
2. Employee Relations & Engagement Act as a point of contact for employee queries, grievances, and HR-related issues. Support HR initiatives that promote employee engagement and positive workplace culture. Assist in organizing employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and internal events.
3. Performance Management Assist in administering performance appraisal cycles. Coordinate goal-setting and feedback sessions with department heads. Maintain performance records and assist in identifying training and development needs.
4. HR Operations & Compliance Maintain accurate employee records in HRMS and personnel files. Ensure adherence to labor laws and statutory compliance (PF, ESIC, Gratuity, etc.). Prepare HR reports and assist in audits when required. Support implementation of HR policies and SOPs across departments.
5. Payroll & Benefits Administration Liaise with the payroll team for attendance, leaves, and salary inputs. Manage benefits administration including insurance, reimbursements, and leave management. Handle employee confirmation, promotion, and separation formalities.
Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree or Master's in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 1-2 years of experience in HR generalist or specialist roles. Strong knowledge of HR practices and compliance requirements. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in MS Office and HRMS tools. High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism. Preferred Attributes: Experience working as an HR in IT / Tech / Consulting / Service industry. Ability to multitask and handle sensitive situations with tact. Strong organizational and time management skills. Positive attitude with a people-first mindset.
