Human Resources and Operations Director

Armada, an edge computing startup, is on a mission to provide computing infrastructure to remote areas with limited connectivity and cloud infrastructure, as well as areas requiring local data processing for real-time analytics and AI at the edge. They are seeking a Director of Human Resources & Operations to lead people and office-related functions in their India operations based in Thiruvananthapuram. This role involves strategic leadership combined with day-to-day execution, overseeing employee experience, HR systems, compliance, and office management in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. As the senior-most HR and Operations leader in India, the Director will collaborate with global teams to align regional operations with Armada's broader goals. Responsibilities include leading a local HR and Operations team, managing the full employee lifecycle, overseeing recruitment, talent acquisition, compensation strategies, performance management, compliance with labor laws, HR systems, office operations, workplace planning, culture promotion, and employee engagement programs. The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of HR and operations experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, a deep understanding of Indian labor laws, strong communication skills, experience working across global teams, familiarity with HR systems, and a Bachelor's degree (Master's degree or HR certification preferred).
