As a Human Resource professional at TOUR ASSISTANCE INDIA, your role will involve various responsibilities to ensure the smooth functioning of HR operations in the tourism sector. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Recruitment and Selection:** - You will be responsible for recruiting candidates with the necessary competencies and skills for roles such as tour guides, travel agents, and customer-facing positions. - Your role will involve ensuring the right fit for each position within the tourism industry. - **Training and Development:** - Organizing training programs to enhance employee skills in areas such as customer service, cultural sensitivity, safety, and industry standards. - Ensuring that employees are well-equipped to handle emerging industry trends like sustainable tourism and digital platforms. - **Employee Engagement and Welfare:** - Monitoring employee satisfaction, addressing concerns, and promoting a positive work environment to enhance employee engagement. - Managing welfare programs including health, safety, and wellness initiatives tailored to the unique work conditions in travel and tourism. - **Performance Management and Retention:** - Implementing systems to evaluate employee performance and motivate them through recognition and rewards. - Developing strategies to retain skilled employees despite challenges like seasonal employment and high turnover rates. - **Compliance and Legal Responsibilities:** - Ensuring adherence to legal requirements, labor laws, and company policies. - Managing contracts and compliance to prevent legal disputes. - **Workforce Planning and Flexibility:** - Forecasting future workforce needs based on industry trends and business goals. - Managing staffing fluctuations by hiring temporary staff during peak periods and adapting to changing operational demands. - **Handling Challenges Specific to Tourism:** - Addressing unique stressors such as customer-facing pressures, irregular work hours, and cultural diversity. - Building a workforce capable of providing exceptional service to a diverse global customer base. **Qualifications Required:** - **Essential Skills:** - Strong interpersonal and communication skills for managing diverse teams and customer-oriented staff. - Expertise in recruitment, training, and development specific to tourism service standards and cultural awareness. - Problem-solving skills to address operational challenges like staffing fluctuations and compliance issues. - Ability to foster a positive work culture, maintain employee motivation, and handle conflict resolution effectively. - **Education and Experience:** - Bachelor's degree preferred. - 1 year of HR sourcing experience preferred. - **Language and Location:** - Proficiency in English and Hindi preferred. - Location preference for Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
