Key Responsibilities Of An HSFE Lead (Telecom Segment)

• Developing and Implementing Safety Programs:
  

Creating and rolling out comprehensive health, safety, environmental, and fire safety programs tailored to the specific needs of telecom operations.

• Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
  

Identifying potential hazards associated with telecom infrastructure, equipment, and work practices, and implementing measures to mitigate those risks.

• Compliance and Auditing:
  

Ensuring that all telecom operations adhere to relevant local, national, and international safety regulations and standards.

• Training and Awareness:
  

Providing training to telecom personnel on safety procedures, emergency response, and the proper use of safety equipment.

• Incident Investigation and Reporting:
  

Investigating accidents and incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

• Emergency Response Planning:
  

Developing and maintaining emergency response plans for various scenarios, including natural disasters, fires, and other emergencies.

• Collaboration and Communication:
  

Working closely with other departments, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to safety and environmental management.

• Continuous Improvement:
  

Regularly reviewing and improving safety and environmental practices based on performance data, incident investigations, and industry best practices.

Skills And Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Health, Safety, Environment, and Fire regulations: In-depth understanding of relevant legislation and standards.
• Experience in the telecom industry: Familiarity with the unique safety challenges and hazards associated with telecom infrastructure and operations.
• Leadership and management skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks, and ensure accountability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and build strong relationships.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills: Ability to identify and resolve safety issues, conduct investigations, and implement corrective actions.
  

Qualification

• Graduate Engineer in Any Trade
• Diploma in Safety (1 Year)
