Support and manage Environment, Health & Safety (HSE) activities at the project site, reporting directly to the HSE lead.
Collaborate with the construction team, general contractors, and key vendors to ensure implementation of HSE plans and compliance with procedures, especially for high-risk activities (e.g., heavy lifting with cranes, excavation, trenching, hot works, electrical installations, working at heights, confined space, material handling).

Main Responsibilities

Implement HSE policies, standards, procedures, and construction-specific plans for assigned projects.
Manage HSE regulatory compliance for projects with in-depth knowledge of BOCW and relevant regulations.
Develop and deliver HSE training materials and conduct training sessions for staff, contractors, and management.
Conduct trade-specific and high-risk activities training and coaching as per schedule.
Demonstrate experience in managing fit-out work for greenfield projects.
Plan and lead incident/accident prevention activities and programs to foster a proactive HSE culture.
Maintain and review HSE performance data, perform data analysis to identify trends of near misses and potential incidents, and identify areas for improvement.
Provide HSE leadership and oversight for construction activities, and support project managers in risk management and continuous review of HSE plans and implementation.
Organize and conduct weekly and monthly HSE meetings with project HSE teams, and track action items.
Support incident/accident investigations, gather facts, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend preventive and corrective actions.
Review and enforce site HSE plans, permit-to-work systems for high-risk activities, and job safety analyses for construction; conduct kick-off meetings with new contractors.
Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance and promote safe behaviors and practices at project sites; maintain observation tracking records.
Review contractors' job safety analyses and construction activity plans, identify weaknesses and gaps, and challenge the feasibility and practicality of controls.
Develop and promote a strong, proactive HSE culture and safe behavior among all stakeholders.
Lead, manage, and mentor contractor HSE supervision teams to enforce safe practices and reduce noncompliance.
