Job Description

Position: Assistant Manager / Manager Factory HR

Location: Nagercoil

Industry:

Education: MBA / Masters Degree in HR or Psychology

Experience: 8 to 12 years, preferably in a manufacturing setup

KEY EXPECTATIONS

  • Identification, Sourcing and Selection of people to meet the needs of different Department Initiate and implement budgeted hiring needs within agreed timeline and quality.
  • Develop and Run Organization and Functional Induction for all new hires.
  • Track and monitor periodically employee feedback on their experience of on boarding
  • Tracking and reporting calendar Goal setting and performance appraisal process
  • Implement programmers to reduce instances of indiscipline.
  • Implement specific recognition programmes.
  • Implement and drive engagement survey’s every year.
  • Identify competencies required for different levels in the Factory and prepare a competency matrix
  • Enable and conduct skill development programs as identified and assigned by reporting supervisor.
  • Provide relevant inputs and information for HR dashboard.
  • Statutory filings periodically and compliance with all labor laws

OWNERSHIP FOR:

  • Co-Ordinate feedback survey and relevant actions based on survey.
  • Prioritisation and Implementation of skill development programs .
  • Discipline and Grievance process handling
  • Recruitment of skilled and semi-skilled workers
  • Leave and absence management
  • Payroll Inputs and timely salary disbursement
  • Attrition Management
  • Competency development

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:

  • Recruitment As per agreed Service Level(SLA)
  • Agreed timeline VS Actual Time Line Performance Process roll out feedback score-Target VS Actual.
  • X % of employees who have documented goals.- Increase to 100%.
  • No. of roles for which competencies are identified.
  • No. of people for whom gaps in competency identified.
  • Plan VS Actual capability development initiatives rolled out.
  • 100%Completion of appraisal process within agreed timeline.
  • Target VS actual feedback on performance appraisal process % Attrition – Vol & Involuntary – Target Vs Actual.

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES EXPECTED :

  • Conceptual knowledge of HR and People Behaviour.
  • Through knowledge of Labour Law and instruction.
  • Exposure to manufacturing organization.
  • High analytical and problem solving.
  • Understand talent availability market.
  • Thorough knowledge of employee discipline and grievance handling.
  • High level of counselling skills.
  • HR process automation.
